Video Production

My career in video production began almost by accident. After receiving my second rejection letter from the highly competitive journalism program at my university, a college advisor encouraged me to channel my creativity in a different way and give production a chance. Three years, and a wild Hollywood internship later, I was convinced this advisor knew exactly what I needed better than I did. My Video Production degree from the prestigious Ohio University Scripps College of Communication cracked the production door open, but it would take me several years, and a lot of hard work, to kick the door in. 

Like many of my colleagues, I started as an intern, graduated to Production Assistant and soon after, landed as a Researcher, and Associate Producer for a few Washington D.C. production companies. By the time I had my first on-screen credit as a Producer, I understood the storytelling process inside and out. This experience empowered me to launch my media production company, Diferente Creative, INC.

Over the years I have worked on documentaries for PBS, The Smithsonian Channel, Netflix and what we call “TV docu-series” for A&E, TLC, ID, SciFi, to name a few. Learning important lessons along the way that influence the work I do for our clients today, and pouring that same amount of passion into the projects you’ll find below.
